I started 2008 with a bang,coz on the very first day of the year I got a new ipod and a new phone (2 new gadgets for a gadget freak,whoa :-O)Still remember entering office with a wide smile (A smile soo wide that i cud eat a banana sideways ;))and telling all my folks about my newly acquired gadgets :-) Still brings on a smile when I think about Jan1 of 2008 :)
Moving ahead things changed and in came the offer of going onsite to Singapore..It was a mixture of feelings..
Felt happy coz got the oppurtunity on cracking the interview and skeptical coz had to leave home and my dear one's back for a period of time..Finally I took up the offer :)
A new country with people who were all strangers to me..I felt handicapped after being supported by my crutches for all this while and now made to stand up all by myself..I had left the crutches of my life(my parents)back home and made an attempt to see if I could walk along this path without their physical support..
Difficult it was ofcourse but I managed to give it a start atleast..I know I can never stand alone!
Days passed and I got used to things,people,work and the system here :) As my uncle always said :
"Adaptability is a sign of Intelligence"
Soon enough(after 2 months) my frenz joined me here :) Though the wait was for two months,to me it seemed like a decade..Relieved with smiles,which lit my face to see people I know,I connect with..Finally the wait was over! I bet each of them must have gone through exactly what I went through(Come'on who would'nt!)..They pulled it off thinking someone has done it before and they could too and I pulled it off thinking they're doing it and I can do it too..:)The outings increased and the fun doubled :) Met many people got aquainted with few more :) All in all my journey restarted with a bang :D
The void of missing old pals and dear one's could not be filled though..Nevertheless thanks to technology and we remain connected :)
Every celebration(bday,friendship's day,perotsav,fun events),weekend outings,experiments in the kitchen,stay over at frenz place,midnight walks,movies(more commented than watched ;)),sexy photo sessions,shopping extravaganza's,travel confusions,chats and mails,wake up calls,gossips were all fun filled..
Well things can never always be fun..There were times of pain,trouble,depressive moods and low atmosphere too... I just say -- "Life is a learning experience"..
Past mid year and I got to visit home.."Home - My paradise on earth!" Things remained untouched :)
Meeting all my bumpals and laughing away to glory just by remembering good old days was amazing :) The glow on my parents face was worth a capture :) As cliched as it may sound ten days is too short a vacation :( A blink of the eye and time has just flown and am back :(
Pain excruciated when I got to know I had lost my grandmom..The hand which blessed me was gone :( The very thought of me not being able to see her killed me within :( I succumbed,but left with no choice had to move on..I know she's watching and I hope I make her proud!
Missed some glorious moments..Brother's weddings,not one but two :( All the pre weeding preperations,wedding fever catching up,"D day" fun and post wedding moments..I missed them all :( All I get to see is "picasa links" which point me to numerous pics and me missing in all :(
All the happenings that took place at Mumbai made me feel sad..So helpless I am or to say helpless we've made ourselves..Why can't the security system be strengthened? When will the politicians wake up? They just remain unanswered questions..The least I can do is pray god to give strength to all those brave people and their loved one's..
This was an insight to what I did over the passed year and now that am into blogging you will read my happenings on a regular basis..Here's wishing you all "A Very Happy New Year" Have a glorious year ahead! Before I put an end..A toast to the year passed by -- "Cheers 2008" :)
